Health Hub Mackay Billing Information

Health Hub Mackay operates as a private billing practice, with payment required at the time of consultation. We accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard (cash out facilities are unavailable). Standard consults are $100.00, and longer or prolonged consults attract higher fees. Pension or concession cardholders are charged $90.00 for standard consultations and $180.00 for long consultations.

All consultations on Saturdays are privately billed, regardless of concession status. Private fees apply.

Please note, we are not a bulk billing site. However, selected doctors bulk bill children 16 years and under. Additional fees may be charged for treatment room use, prolonged consultations, procedures, medicals, investigations, or certain vaccinations.

Telehealth/video appointments are available if you’ve had an in-surgery consultation within the past 12 months, with fees varying depending on the doctor’s discretion. A Medicare rebatable fee is $100.00 with a $43.90 rebate. If no in-surgery appointment has occurred in the last year, a non-rebatable fee of $100.00 applies. Veteran Affairs patients are billed directly through Veteran Affairs.

Please note there is a no show fee of $25.00.
